As with many true artists, Penny French began making teddy bears as a hobby a few decades ago. Now Penny French’s Back Mountain Bears are sought-after toys that have become collectible in some circles. Penny works eight-hour days in her Lycoming County workshop to create bears that she markets at arts and craft shows. See her unique fuzzy creations at booth 73 at the People’s Choice Festival.
